These terms apply to the Bunbuku Japanese learning service. Questions can be sent to support@bunbuku.com.

Learning with Bunbuku

Bunbuku provides lessons, practice and AI-assisted conversations for personal language learning. You can try some features as a guest and create a free account to save progress and continue learning. Available content and usage allowances are shown in the app and may evolve as the service develops.

Keep your account secure. Do not misuse the service, bypass limits, interfere with other users, or submit content you do not have the right to use. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect the service.

Free access and optional Pro

Free learning in the web app requires the usage-data agreement displayed before entry. You may leave without agreeing, or withdraw later in Settings; free learning remains closed until you agree. Account management, support and deletion remain accessible. This does not remove existing active Pro, founding or partner access. Website browsing and native app preferences are unchanged. See Privacy for the data collected and how choices are stored.

Using the Free plan does not automatically start a subscription. Pro is optional. The applicable price, billing interval, trial duration and payment terms are shown before you confirm a purchase. Do not subscribe unless you agree to those terms.

If you choose a trial with automatic renewal, your payment method will be charged at the price and interval shown at checkout when the trial ends, unless you cancel beforehand. Trial eligibility and partner offers can differ. An access code that grants free access without a subscription does not authorize later charges.

Existing early-access or partner benefits follow the offer under which they were granted. Changing a public offer does not by itself change an existing learner's agreement.

Cancellation, payment issues and refunds

For a web subscription, use Manage Billing in Settings to review or cancel it. The billing portal shows when cancellation takes effect. Cancel before your trial ends to avoid its first subscription charge. Uninstalling an app does not cancel a subscription.

A failed or overdue payment can affect Pro access. Your Free access and learning history are separate from your subscription, unless your account is deleted or restricted for another reason. Contact support about billing mistakes or refund requests. Your statutory consumer rights, including any applicable cancellation or refund rights, are not limited by these terms.

If you purchase through a store in a release that offers store billing, that store processes your payment and provides the relevant subscription-management and refund process.

AI content and your information

AI responses, translations, transcripts and corrections can be inaccurate. They are learning assistance, not certification of language ability or a guarantee of results. You remain responsible for what you choose to submit. Our Privacy policy explains speech processing, personal information, analytics and deletion.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Bunbuku reliable, but interruptions and changes can occur. We may update features and these terms. We will communicate material subscription changes as required and will not treat ordinary Free use as agreement to a new paid offer.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. You may stop using Bunbuku and request deletion of your account at any time.
